Hi, I’m Kayla, the designer and owner of Harmless Habit Studio, an independent woman-owned business based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I spent roughly a decade working professionally in graphic design and large-format production before returning to the small business I originally started more than a decade ago. Today, I create and finish a varied collection of metal cases, flasks, wooden jewelry, engraved keepsakes, and other distinctive objects from my Minneapolis studio.

Some pieces begin with carefully sourced components that I transform through finishing, assembly, painting, engraving, resin work, and other hands-on processes. Other designs are cut, engraved, painted, or constructed from wood. Every finished order is prepared, inspected, packaged, and shipped by me.

Many items are made to order, and processing times vary according to the complexity of the design. My goal is to create pieces that feel personal, useful, and a little unexpected.
